Jesus' parable of the prodigal son (more appropriately titled, the parable of the forgiving father), is a story about facing one another. Often this is a very challenging thing to do because of old grudges and grievances. Jesus has broken into our world of hurt and pain to bring reconciliation and peace between us and God, and between us and one another.
