The season of Lent reminds us of our weaknesses. We watch Jesus, after 40 days of isolation and fasting facing an onslaught of temptation directly from Satan. We remember that Jesus is fully human, hungry and vulnerable (Hebrews 2:14-18), and we reflect on how he responded. The attack focussed on his identity, his commitment to worship, and the sufficiency of God and His Word. His response was rooted in Scripture and God's faithfulness toward His people.
