Factors For A Peace--Filled Mind Part 2

Listen Later

Today's podcast is part two of five parts with the title or theme---Factors For A Peace Filled Mind. As we consider a factor, or factors for the purpose of this podcast, factors can be defined as circumstances, or conditions, that bring about a result or outcome.

A factor can also be an element or something that makes a thing what it is. Factors can be positive or negative. It depends on our viewpoint of the circumstances of the elements that can produce negative or positive results or outcomes.

Each week in this five part series we will use a particular word that provides the circumstances and conditions, the elements of which make a thing what it is , or simply the factors of a matter.

Today’s word concerning the reason why a person’s mind is not filled with peace is pain, and that pain many times is the pain of not trusting God. There are some matters in life that are self-inflicted wounds.

The reality of pain includes the place of stress, distress and being upset…. all begins with how we think.

Isaiah 26:3 in the Amplified Version says “God will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character],Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].

Although there will always be troubling life circumstances, situations and factors that attempt to rob us of peace, Jesus as our Prince of Peace, will always increase peace because our minds are stayed on Him.
