Factors For A Peace--Filled Mind Part 5

Listen Later

This is the 5th and final podcast in the series entitled, Factors For A Peace--Filled Mind. I shared with you a few weeks ago I received a phone call from a particular person and this person was stressed, distressed, and upset; their mind was not at peace. Which is a plot, ploy and plan of the enemy.

One reason as to why many may not be at peace in their minds is because of what they are in pursuit of. The word pursuit or pursue maybe defined as a chase or a quest for something or a particular goal. Most of us, if not all of us have engaged in this concept of pursuit of something or a particular goal.

It may be a certain educational goal, financial goal, or career goal; or relationship that one has been in pursuit of. At some point, all of us have engaged in this concept of pursuit. Whatever we are in pursuit of requires a consistent and constant effort to obtain.

In the Common English Bible translation of Philippians 3:12 the Apostle Paul gives us an example of his pursuit of the Lord.

Paul says, “It’s not that I have already reached this goal or have already been perfected, but I pursue it, so that I may grab hold of it because Christ grabbed hold of me for just this purpose.” Purpose is the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

In Matthew chapter 5, the Message Bible, beginning at the 13th verse Jesus defines a believer’s purpose, the reason why disciples and believers were created, the reason for our existence, beginning at the 13th verse Jesus says, “Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth.

You and I have been created to "make a difference, and you make a difference one life at a time." We do so by being salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. This is a core Factor For A Peace--Filled Mind.
