Milly is angry at Montag for his stupidity, and wants him to just burn the books, but decides to let him try, and realise that they are just full of nonsense, and burn them himself. He reads and tries to find some meaning in them, but is interrupted by a signal that someone is at the door, followed by an electrical sniffing noise...
