Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury, Part 3 - 1, narrated by Isaac Birchall
In this chapter, Montag is brought to face his crimes. Montag is instructed to burn his house, and all that is in it. Faber protests, but something of the old grabs ahold of him, and Montag starts into the house. He burns it all, and feels again the pleasure that the cleansing fire gives. As he finishes, he comes out of the house. Beaty places him under arrest and shoves Montag, knocking the ear-piece from his head. Beaty finds it and declares that after he is finished with Montag, that he will go see the person on the other end of the device. This statement causes something to break in Montag, and he makes the bravest decision of his life.
