The first person Jesus chose to reveal Himself to after He died and was raised to life again was Mary Magdalene. Mary had a significantly more troubled past compared to the others closest to Jesus. Luke's gospel records Jesus casting seven demons out of her. Yet Jesus had not only set her free, but revealed Himself to her before any of the others and called her by name. Maybe you feel you are an unlikely candidate to receive the Lord's grace or favor because of your past. Remember, failure is not fatal. Jesus knows you by name and wants to extend to you grace and victory by way of revelation.
