Faire une flûte traversière en bambou

Flûte réalisée en octobre 2023 à partir de bambou géant.

Les dimensions (notées en fin de vidéo) ont été obtenue par tâtonnement en partant des tables proposées par Guido Gonzato : https://www.guidogonzato.it/whistle/index.html
– L'embouchure est trou ovale évasé à ≈ 45°
– Un bouchon de liège ferme le tube à ≈ 1,5cm de l'embouchure.
– les 7 trous percés ∅ 5mm, agrandis progressivement à la lime en partant du + grave. Accordage d'oreille (risqué : on s'habitue aux fausses notes, il faut faire des pauses pour se "laver" l'oreille et je ne suis toujours pas satisfait du résultat). Accorder les notes plus aiguëes baisse de nouveau les plus grave ; allers-retours nécessaires.
– L'intérieur du tube est longuement poncé et finalement passé à l'huile de lin (2× sur 2 jours).

  • The embouchure hole is oval and flared at ≈ 45°.
  • A cork closes the mouthpiece ≈ 1.5cm from the hole.
  • the 7 holes where drilled ∅ 5mm, then progressively enlarged with a file starting from the lowest. Ear tuning (not easy: you get used to false notes, you have to take breaks to "wash" your ear and I'm still not happy with the result). Tuning the higher notes lowers the lower ones again; you have to work gradually.
  • The inside of the tube is sanded and finally treated with linseed oil (2 times over 2 days).
