In this episode of Faith and the Revolution, I speak to my dear friend, Whitney, about being a Black woman in America. This is not a new conversation; in fact, this episode was recorded back in October 2020, and was followed by many more conversations about the experiences of Black women/femmes/queer/trans in America. It feels fitting that as we mourn the death of Breonna Taylor by police a year later, and celebrate Women's History Month, that this episode be released. So, here you go - a gift to you. This episode is in honor of Black women everywhere.

My friend Whitney is a writer from Fort Worth, Texas who believes in magic. She is a beautiful Black alchemist who occasionally creates sweet-smelling healing body products, and also occasionally produces a meditative newsletter called ju-ju.

As COVID-19 stay-at-home orders are being lifted nationwide, there is much to consider as a country, and in our own personal lives. But we can't even begin to think about what's next without engaging our minds, revolutionizing the ways that we think about the world and our place in it.
