In this podcast my son Joel Cook and my son-in-law Jeremiah Paden join with me as we look at Luke's Account of Jesus Birth and the Shepherds. The following is a list of some of the points we covered in the podcast  -Luke 2:8-20

1. We begin the podcast with a focus on the Angels and the critical importance of understanding the supernatural works of God and how it relates to faith and the Bible and the wonder of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.

2.  How fear is overcome-- When the angel appeared to Joseph, Mary and the Shepherds all three times the words:  "Fear Not" was in the message from God.

3. We discuss the decree of Caesar Augustus and the critical importance of understanding how God works through those in authority to fulfill His plans and His purposes and how strong faith and God's will are connected with understanding authority.

4. The shepherds response and Mark 12:37 "…And the common people heard him gladly…" -- responded with faith

5. How the humble shepherds responded in faith and the dangers of pride, self-exaltation and faith.

6. Understanding what faith is by the example of the Shepherds

Understanding child-like faith and why it is required for true conversion.

The difference between doing something for God and cooperating by faith in what God is doing.

The critical importance of "Looking unto Jesus" the "author and finisher of our faith" Heb. 12:2
