Some songs are meant to soothe. This one is meant to wake you up.

“Truth Hurts” is a straight shot at the counterfeit gospel—the “Gospel of Me”—that pats you on the head, tells you you’re fine just as you are, and quietly walks you toward the broad road Jesus warned about. This isn’t about being edgy for fun; it’s about being clear while there’s still time.

Jesus didn’t say He was one of many ways, or that sincerity alone would get you in. He said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

If your “truth” doesn’t lead you to repentance, obedience, and the narrow gate—it’s not truth at all. And the longer we hug the lie, the closer we drift to destruction. This song is a flare, a reminder, and a call to get back on the path that actually leads Home.
