Faith comes by hearing.

We all have a measure of faith: Romans 12:3 We are called believers for a reason!

If we are born again, we are born again because of faith, for we are saved “By grace,

through faith (Ephesians 2:8).”

Faith grows out of the Word of God: Romans 10:17

The woman with the issue of blood heard the Word, meditated on it, spoke it,

and acted on it. Mark 5:25-34

Why? Because somewhere along the line, she heard of Jesus, and “Faith comes by

hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).”

The Bread of Life

Daily: Matthew 6:11 NKJV Give us this day our daily bread. We eat food regularly to

sustain our bodies: so also we need to feed our spirits with the Word of God. Prayer and

communion strengthen our faith and provide spiritual nourishment and refreshment

Miracle bread: this is God’s supply! We can see God’s miraculous provision in Exodus

16:14-15 NKJV And when the layer of dew lifted, there, on the surface of the

wilderness, was a small round substance, as fine as frost on the ground. (15) So

when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, "What is it?" For they

did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, "This is the bread which the

LORD has given you to eat.

And in Matthew:

Matthew 14:17-21 NKJV And they said to Him, "We have here only five loaves and

two fish." (18) He said, "Bring them here to Me." (19) Then He commanded the

multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish,

and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the

disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes. (20) So they all ate and were

filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. (21)

Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and

children.

Showbread: the Showbread symbolized God’s divine presence:

Leviticus 24:5-8 NKJV "And you shall take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with

it. Two-tenths of an ephah shall be in each cake. (6) You shall set them in two

rows, six in a row, on the pure gold table before the LORD. (7) And you shall put

pure frankincense on each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, an

offering made by fire to the LORD. (8) Every Sabbath he shall set it in order

before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an

everlasting covenant.

Unleavened bread: deliverance

Exodus 12:17 NKJV So you shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on

this same day I will have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore

you shall observe this day throughout your generations as an everlasting

ordinance.

Living bread: This is the Bread that gives us a new kind of life: “Zoe” life, an abundant

life (John 10:10)

John 6:48-51 NKJV I am the bread of life. (49) Your fathers ate the manna in the

wilderness, and are dead. (50) This is the bread which comes down from heaven,

that one may eat of it and not die. (51) I am the living bread which came down

from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I

shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.

The bread was broken for our healing

1 Peter 2:24 NKJV who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we,

having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were

healed.

Acts 10:38

John 14:19 NKJV "A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you

will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.

The Blood of the Lamb

The cup symbolizes Jesus’ Blood that was shed at Calvary. The Blood was shed at

Calvary for the remission of sins

Redemption power in the Blood

Matthew 26:28 NKJV For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for

many for the remission of sins.

There is no remission of sins without the shedding of Blood Hebrews 9:22 NKJV And

according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without

shedding of blood there is no remission.

2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that

we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

There’s protection in the Blood

Exodus 12:12-13 NKJV &39 For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night,

and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and

against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. (13) Now

the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the

blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you

when I strike the land of Egypt.
