It is quite simple as Jesus tells it, the life of every other person is our responsibility. If we withhold forgiveness from a neighbor, a community, or an entire culture, their suffering is on us. No wonder the disciples hear this and cry out "Increase our faith." Forgiveness is as much a gift from that heals brokenness as it is complicated messy simply because it can alter our relationships with others. It can also be used to assuage our own guilt or to turn away from those who suffering. We want God to do all the work. We're in luck, Jesus bore our sin on the cross that we can live. Now its our turn to bear the life of our neighbors and live out Christ's restorative justice for God's people. The first in our sermon series "Faith Enough" on Luke 17.5-10.
