Mark 9:30-32 and 9:38-41
This week in The Way: The Gospel of Mark, we’re talking about “Faith in the Questions” from Mark 9. The disciples didn’t understand what Jesus was saying about His suffering—and they were afraid to ask. Many of us aren’t struggling with rebellion; we’re struggling with quiet questions. Why is this happening? Did I miss God’s will? Why does He feel silent? The danger isn’t having questions—the danger is burying them. Jesus invites us to bring our confusion to Him and to stay faithful even when we don’t fully understand. You don’t have to control everything or know everything. You just have to trust Him, stay humble, and keep offering your “cup of water” in His name. Faith isn’t the absence of questions—it’s bringing them to Jesus.
