THINGS WE’VE LEARNED

1: Not everything we hear is true

“The gullible believe anything they’re told; the prudent sift and weigh every word.” Proverbs 14:15 msg

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

2: This too will pass

“Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.” 1Peter 4:12

“The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted God’s instructions, violated His laws, and broken His everlasting covenant.” Isaiah 24:5

3: Focus on what's unchanging

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2Corinthians 4:17-18

` 4: God will go through it with me

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 4:10

5: This is not the end of the story

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” 2Corinthians 4:8-9

“I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, ‘Look, God’s home is now among His people! He will live with them, and they will be His people. God himself will be with them. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.’” Revelation 21:3-4

6: God wants to use me to help others
