We often compromise our faith; yet 'compromise' means to weaken, damage, or make something unsafe. Faith in God and the word 'compromise' do not belong together, for faith in God is not meant to be weakened, damaged, or made unsafe. Rather, we make ourselves weak. We cause damage to what we hope for and create instability through our own doubt.
