Hebrews, chapter eleven, has been called "The Faith Chapter." In the first verse we are given a very concise definition of faith. Then, we are told that believers are to be commended for living out the faith just described. In a few following verses we are given examples of faith being demonstrated by three heroes of the faith: Abel, Cain and Noah.In the center of this Faith Hall of Fame we are given a powerful explanation of God's point of view: "Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him" (Hebrews 11:6).
