We’re finishing our week in Matthew 4:23, where Jesus’ ministry is anything but passive: he teaches, he proclaims the good news of the kingdom, and he brings healing. That picture forces an honest question: if we say we follow Jesus, how can we stay on the sidelines while he lives on mission?

We talk about why the church was never meant to create spiritual consumers or produce empty words. Real Christianity is word and deed, belief that becomes movement. James 2 makes it plain that faith without works is dead, not because good works save us, but because saved people do.
