Moses was aware that there is pleasure in sin, but it’s a fleeting pleasure. Faith enables a person to see that fleeting pleasure and say no because they know there is a reward (v26), the lasting pleasure that comes from God in Christ. Faith here is not the will-power of self-control, but robust confidence that God’s word is true, and that no eye has seen nor ear heard the glorious things God has prepared for those who love him.
