‘What good is it if someone says they have faith but does not have works?’

Real Religion is more than ascent to a set of beliefs. According to James, fake religion is only concerned with inner beliefs and not outward actions. This kind of religion is dead – powerless and pointless.

Instead Real Religion is immediately interested in the life and actions of a person who follows Jesus. Real Religion is deeply practical. It is gritty and this-worldly; extending care and mercy especially to the materially poor.
