What controls your decisions: God's voice or people's opinions? The fear of man is a trap that looks reasonable but imprisons our identity, voice, and calling. God is restoring the revelation of the fear of the Lord to break our addiction to approval. When we fear God more than man, we become free to fulfill our purpose.
The fear of the Lord isn't about being afraid, it's about being gripped by His greatness, His holiness, His majesty. We've created a version of God we're comfortable with, but not one we tremble before. Grace didn't remove the fear of God—it made a way to approach Him rightly.
