Faithfulness is a great commendation. It's one word Scripture uses to describe the life of Moses, the figure that towers over the whole story of the Old Testament. Jesus, the author of Hebrews says, is faithful like Moses was. But Jesus is greater still, like a builder is greater than a building. All of this has something to contribute to our own faithful endurance in trial.
