For the Twenty Third Sunday after Pentecost we look at the Parable of the Ten Bridesmaids. Jesus is the returning bridegroom who will arrive joyfully at the end of the age. He will extend a warm welcome to all the guests who have patiently remained and who are duly prepared for his arrival. Blessed are those whose lamps are faithfully kept burning as they watch and wait for His appearing.
