We wrestle with what it truly means to live out our faith in today’s world. Many of us equate blessings, success, and outward appearances with being a “true Christian,” but without the love of Christ and obedience to God, it’s all in vain.
This episode challenges us to self-reflect: Are we truly living by faith, or have we grown soft in our walk with Christ?
5 VERSES TO HELP LIVE OUT TRUE FAITH:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
- Mark 12:30-31
“It is better to obey the Lord than to offer sacrifices to him. It is better to listen to him than to offer the fat from rams.”
- 1 Samuel 15:22
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
- Proverbs 3:5-6
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Galatians: 13-14
“All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they shared with anyone who was in need. “With one accord they continued to meet daily in the temple courtsl and to break bread from house to house, sharing their meals with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved”
- Acts 2:44-47
