Jesus did not let the reaction of one group of people halt his entire ministry. He knew that things would be difficult, but that he must do what God had called him to anyway. He did not retreat and do nothing. He did not let fear of retaliation, disapproval, or even fear for his life stop him from following his path as ordained by God. Like him, we cannot let that get in our way either. If it gets in our way, it is getting in God’s way.
