The word in the Bible that is translated “faithfulness” comes from another word that means, “to be convinced”. If we want to be faithful to God, we need to learn to be convicted.
This podcast gives an overview of what faithfulness means and some insights into how to develop it.
What do you need to do in order to build conviction? What did Jesus say about faithfulness in His sermons and lessons?
You’ll also hear a discussion about faithfulness in marriage. Did you know that loyalty only comes as you are convicted?
Faithfulness stems from an enduring conviction.
The implications of the podcast are simply that we need to learn why we believe something is right or wrong, and we need to reinforce that when things get difficult. My prayer is that this will help encourage you and boost you up so that you will take the steps necessary to build up any convictions that have started to deteriorate.
We All Want to Increase Faithfulness
That is universal because “faithfulness” comes from convictions we hold. It may seem overly simplified, but if you have difficulty staying loyal to God or anyone else, there is a problem with your conviction. Maybe you need to convince yourself that you should maintain the relationship.
But when we are talking about doing good things, the same applies. You may know the good you should do but you have difficulty motivating yourself to do it. That means there is a problem with conviction somehow.
The thing keeping you away from doing what you know you should can only be overcome. But you must believe in yourself or in the validity of the thing you are wanting to accomplish. Build up that belief and you’ll change the way you see the “problem” currently keeping you from doing the good.
