Isaiah 8:12-22 - God-consciousness redefines urgency: “Do not call conspiracy all that people call conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear.” So many supposedly facts prove to be false or do not come to fruition. If we are continually moved by all of these, we are in constant turmoil. God’s people are not without fear, but our whole approach is different. Whatever the News, fake or otherwise, we see God at work in the events swirling around us, and through God we stabilize ourselves.
