Every Fall since 1888, Dartmouth has constructed a towering monument to the incoming class: the homecoming bonfire. In recent years, the traditions surrounding the event as well as the structure of the fire itself have been taken in a new, safer direction. On this episode of The D-Brief we spoke to Hanover residents and Fire Chief Martin McMillan to better understand the push for change. We then sat down with News Associate Editor Adriana James-Rodill to discuss how this fire compares to previous years; and finally, rounded up some '26s for their firsthand impressions of the blaze.
