Hey Kingdom Cousins,
This episode is me ranting about a hard day, inconveniences, and practicing the fruits of the spirit. My inner child is such a bully sometimes. Anybody else ever deal with that? Most of us are too hard on ourselves and the enemy likes to play on our emotions! Don’t fall for it! I walk you through some of the negative thought patterns I experienced and how to walk in the authority you have over your flesh.
Takeaways:
You get to choose how YOU perceive “inconveniences” that are meant to test you. God is growing my patience and flexibility in this season. I am CONSTANTLY finding myself in positions where I have to pivot and it is apart of God chastening and developing my character.
Don’t give the enemy too much credit when we KNOW that meekness is only developed through experience(s). Allow our Father to shape you and choose to see Him in everything.
You have a purpose that the enemy wants to stop you in fulfilling so you must persevere and execute God’s vision.
Scriptures mentioned, paraphrased, and referenced:
II Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Hebrews 12:6 (NKJV)
For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.”
Ephesians 4:12 (NKJV)
for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Matthew 4:4 (NKJV)
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
James 1:3 (NKJV)
knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
Psalms 34:18 (TPT)
The Lord is close to all whose hearts are crushed by pain, and he is always ready to restore the repentant one.
Galatians 5:22 (NKJV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
