Simon not only chatted with me about all of reasons for doing the Pan Mass Challenge, but he also challenges everyone to give a little more.
Listen to his story and read his "why" below;
I have been riding for years to raise money for diabetes research. I have steered clear of the PMC because 200 miles in 2 days seemed too daunting. Maybe it's my age, maybe the fact that more and more friends and family have been impacted by cancer, but this year I have decided to make the big leap. I am riding in particular for my wife Patti, father John, sister-in-law Teri, friends Bill and Jim, plus coworkers and colleagues Jay (for Sam), Bruce, Kenny K, Kathy H, Brian D and others. There are many I have left out. Thanks to my friend Bill Alexander for inspiring me to ride - he is missing this year due to injury, so I hope to be his substitute.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
