Like Israel in the days of Jeremiah, many of God's own people refuse to obey the voice of the Spirit. As Christians our lives and faith must be in agreement. If our hearts are good and turned towards Him then good deeds will follow. If we call ourselves Christian and then act contrary to Christ, we put Christ in a bad light. Christians are to represent Jesus to the world and that cannot be done unless our behavior mirrors His.
