Christ continues His teaching to correct the false teaching of the pharisees. He instructs us about the true motive for the good works He would have us to do. He warns that our motive must be mercy and compassion. What we do must be discrete, private and not to the praise of men. All we do is before His eyes "for He sees in secret".
