Trading platform Robinhood announced the personal information of 7 million customers — about one-third of its customer base — was exposed last week as the hacker demanded payment. The culprit obtained email addresses for about 5 million people and full names for a separate group of 2 million people, while a smaller group of about 320 people had additional personal information exposed. Robinhood gained notoriety in January after freezing trades on GameStop after a Reddit user-led run on trading.
