Ana began her career as a first and fifth grade bilingual teacher before moving on to supervise bilingual teachers at the district level. She would move on to become the bilingual liaison between the district and campuses before becoming an assistant principal and then principal. She then took over the role of District Textbook Coordinator before becoming the Assistant Director of Special Programs for Bilingual/ESL Education. She stepped into the role of Federal Program Director before becoming an independent consultant through various bilingual advocate groups. 

She recently made the decision to leave education to watch her grandson full time, only 2 years out from retirement. Talk about commitment to family! Hear Ana's story and why she made this decision!
