Family is more than blood—it’s a tapestry of connection, loss, and chosen love. Growing up as a Black queer man in a Jehovah’s Witness household, I navigate the bonds of my biological family, honor the ones I’ve lost, and celebrate the chosen family I’ve built in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. At 35, I stand at a crossroads, ready to weave a new chapter and build a family of my own.
