Too often we live as though the point of the gospel is to run MY race, or to find MY purpose, or to live out MY faith. But 2 Timothy 2:2 reveals a clear "generational relay race" that doesn't stop when we leave, and in the kingdom, when family leaves, it's done in a way that the next generation can take the baton and finish the race. Until we're willing to pass the baton, we haven't served the purpose of God in our generation.
