This week Cate and Liz kick off a new series on Famous Artists by covering one of the most popular visual artists alive today, Yayoi Kusama. This 93 year old Japanese contemporary artist has overcome personal trauma, lives by choice in a hospital for the mentally ill, and is known for her colorful and often polka dotted exhibits that have made a recent re-emergence thanks to Instagram.
