After a frightening assault in her adolescence, Ruth Finley finally has everything she wants: a loving husband, two sons, and a safe house in the suburbs. But one summer day, her past catches up. Terrifying phone calls, deliveries at work, and poems threatening to take Ruth’s life arrive at a constant rate. It's clear to everyone around her that Ruth is in danger, but can the police find the culprit in time?
