We often correlate the "fire of God" with emotion. The reality is, the fire of God is not an emotion but a consuming agent. Praying for the fire of God can be a dangerous prayer because we're essentially praying that the Holy Spirit would burn out everything that's not of Him. But until we're emptied of ourselves there is no room to be filled.
