Satu visits the Congregation and finds more than she bargained for when she searches the Witches archives for information on Diana. The daemons are finally introduced to the story. Domenico and Gerbert begin to plot against Matthew. Diana and Matthew have dinner, with very mixed results. After a disgusting intimidation tactic, Knox finds himself on the wrong end of Diana's anger. For Diana's safety, she and Matthew flee to France, and come to a decision that will lead them into trouble.
