 FANNIE FORMED THE Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party (MFDP), with Fannie Lou Hamer "I'm Sickin' Tired of Being Sickin' Tired!" as a founding member and vice president. The MFDP sent an alternate delegation to the 1964 Democratic National Convention, with 64 black and 4 white delegates.
