Ahoy hoy #oldtimers and welcome back to another fantastic episode of As Time Goes By! This week we take a look at Wes Anderson’s first dive into stop motion animation with 2009’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. 

Troy is joined by friend of friends but newly turned better friend Tam Papendor to discuss this zany and technical marvel. We talk all about the reputation of Anderson, harken back to high school memories, and exalt mindful declarations to combat harsh criticism. 

Moving forward, these two engage in discourse on the film itself, taking the listeners on a heist within a heist to divulge the making of the film while remembering for ourselves what actually happens. What a treat! After all that, we take the time to play a box office game and release our inhibitions.  “Redemption? Sure. But in the end, it’s just another dead podcast in a garbage pail behind a Chinese restaurant.”
