I was often the "quiet" one and rarely spoke up at meetings, social settings, etc. unless I was called on. It was safer to be forgettable than memorable. After "coasting" for so long, I truly realized that tomorrow is not guaranteed. I just had to go for it. I now hold myself to a far higher standard and want that for other people as well. My life is far more fulfilling and impactful now than as someone who just hid. Life is scarier now, too, in the best of ways!"
