Dear Listeners,  We are back! Please welcome Benita L. Saaka-Reynolds as the new cohost on the Emotionally Yours Podcast. The black community lost another black man. We learned that DMX has died after suffering a heart attack when he overdosed on drugs. He admitted to having the addiction on many occasions. With his life playing out in the public, we witnessed his attempts to overcome his addiction until he couldn't. He was my #1 rapper not just because of his voice or thuggin' attitude. It was his tenderness that we saw more of at the end of his life. Like his music, his prayers were profound. I think I speak for others "X" will truly be missed. Addiction and Mental Illness are real, please seek help. We have proof that one can overcome. I pray you keep trying because you are are worth it.
