The impact of " The Virus" on various sectors of agriculture.

Ms. Catherine Morrissey, News Editor, Irish Farmers Journal reviews

the current measures in place to allow food production to continue

virtually unhindered provided Government protocols on

hygiene and ant-virus protection measures are observed.

Mr. Sean O'Sullivan, CEO, Cork Marts on measures being taken

to ensure the smooth buying and selling of livestock can

continue.Mr. O'Sullivan comments on "the one hundred maximum

attendance" stipulation by the Government, and strikes an

optimistic note provided everyone co-operates.

Some farming organisations have cancelled meetings planned

for the near future, due to " The Virus"..

Mr. Adrian O'Callaghan, Dairy Advisor, Teagasc Office,

Sandfield, Mallow, reviews the grass situation, on-off grazing,

fertiliser application, animal health issues likely to

require attention and tips on cow nutrition, calves, and

the emergence of milk sickness..All against the background

of more or less rainy weather and soaked land.
