Farmworkers in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties continue to be an at risk community during the COVID-19 pandemic. I spoke with Abraham Melendrez, a policy advocate for the Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy (CAUSE), about the 805 UndocuFund, the response from employers and the county, what the organization’s demands are, and further about the intersectionality of indigienous migrant workers.
