Kevin, can you reread your personal definition of fasting?

What are both of your experiences with fasting? Did you grow up practicing this?

Kevin, I loved when you talked about while we are fasting we’re expecting and asking for God to speak, so we’re more in tune with the Lord’s voice. This feels like something we should be doing often! I want to be seeking the Lord in all of my decisions both big and small. Do both of you fast regularly for all sorts of decisions? What would you say to someone who’s just starting to fast? What does fasting for a meal look like for both of you?

Andrew, do you feel like fasting is a well known discipline among our college kids? How do we raise up the next generation participating in Spiritual Disciplines without getting caught up in legalism?
