The period of abstinence from food and other things that we indulge in our bodies is a season of spiritual rediscovery, strength, renewal, and advancement of the counsel of the Father on earth. It is a point and place in which our understanding of the things of God becomes even more profoundly clear. Fasting grants, the Saints the prophetic insight and understanding regarding the journey ahead. 

There is no doubt that the Lord is emphasizing that we return to the place of effective representation and delivery of our task in the kingdom mandate. To cope with the complexity of our day and the days ahead, we must learn to continually renew our strength by waiting on the Lord. Strength in the Spirit means something else that must be clear in terms of understanding and application. Waiting requires us to learn to drain trust and our dependence on human wisdom and expectations. As we can see, men's wisdom is rapidly failing. Therefore, we need to readjust our commitment to the resource's heaven has provided for our development and advancement in kingdom initiative.   There is a need to move on to a higher ground of spirit, so that our vision and competence can be improved better.
