Start the year with fasting… church wide.

I fast quite regularly… 1 day, 3 day, 7 day

Every few years I will do an extended fast of 2-3 weeks, and I have fasted as long as almost 30 days.

This fast was 21 days… 

Just some immediate random thoughts on my fast.

I don’t want to lose weight

It is not for health reasons

I do it to show my body I have control not it.

I do it to crucify my flesh

I do it to spend more time with Jesus

I do it for the future impact on my life

I do it for my family and church
