CHASING THE CUTOFF’S Troy Eid talks with John Lacroix – visionary founder and race director of the Human Potential Running Series (HPRS).  A seasoned ultramarathoner who directed the first 200-mile ultramarathon in the United States, John has garnered international respect for the success of the HPRS race series, including the Sangre de Cristo and Silverheels ultramarathons in Colorado’s High Country.  HPRS reflects John’s own egalitarian philosophy:  Eschewing the sport’s burgeoning commercialization and “the worshipping of elites,” and instead focusing on personal transformation while building community and a spirit of belonging.
